We maintain a community social media group, and keep it moderated in accordance with the 10 Principles and whatnot.

Volunteer

Whether you’ve recently discovered Burning Man and want to figure out how to make that magic last all year long, or you’re a grizzled vet with experience, time and tools to share, we could use a hand here in Chicago. Several of them, really! As a do-ocracy, we’re basically limited to what we - and you- want to do. In no particular order, here are a few things we always need a hand with:

Events

From simple – coordinating a monthly happy hour, to arranging a one off bike ride, to more complex–finding a new venue for a larger decompression party-
or helping organize a camping trip- maybe even an official Regional Burn- they sky is the limit if you want to help make it happen.

Arts & Educational Programming

Our official mission is rooted in the Arts.

Administrative Stuff

We have a bank account and all sorts of tools at our disposal, and could always use more hands on deck keeping them humming along and maintain financial transparency.

Fundraising

All of our programming is self-funded by our events and donations graciously provided by our community.

The Burning Man Regional Network plays a key role in the year-round extension of the Burning Man experience, supporting it as a global cultural movement. In cities around the world, Regional Contacts help local Burners connect with each other, while bringing Burning Man principles and culture into their local communities through events and activities, year-round. These are the RCs (Regional contacts) of our city and how to reach out.
