The Event

Civic Ignition Grant Workshop

The Winter Ball does more than bring people together—it creates lasting impact. Proceeds from this event fund the Civic Ignition Grant Workshop, a platform designed to foster meaningful change in the communities we love.

This workshop offers a space where visionaries, collaborators, and changemakers can turn bold ideas into actionable plans. Creativity has power, and we’re using it to transform.

If you answered yes, then it’s time to decompress. Dust the playa off your boots and join us through the looking glass for an evening full of art, music and merriment in a whimsical wonderland.

Decompression has been a long rooted tradition in Burning Man communities around the world with Chicago being amongst one of the most beloved. B.U.R.N’s mission is to foster community arts through grass-roots projects and civic collaborations all of which we celebrate at Decompression and other events throughout the year.

On Saturday, October 5th we will gather under the magical cheshire cat moon in Chicago’s Jefferson park neighborhood to ask the question, WHO. ARE. YOU? As you step through the looking glass you’ll find yourself winding through an indoor/outdoor playground of wonderment filled with dozens of visual artists, DJs, flow and fire artists, musicians, theme camps and performers all guiding you towards the many answers to WHO. ARE. YOU?
