Bold Urban Renaissance Network (B.U.R.N.) is the 501c3 for Chicagoland’s Burning Man community. B.U.R.N. nourishes an inclusive and vibrant community that celebrates radical self-expression, creativity, and collaboration. We are founded and inspired by, and follow the 10 Principles of Burning Man. We strive to inspire positive creative change in the participants and in the wider community through our grass-roots projects and civic collaborations. We believe open and enthusiastic consent is the foundation from which all other principles grow. We believe in the transformative power of art, communal effort, and participatory culture.
As ambassadors of self-expression and radical inclusion, we are committed to fostering a space where people from all walks of life can come together to coalesce, grow, and co-create.

ART GRANTS
Have an idea for an art project or an interactive light installation you want to bring out to one of our events? A solar-powered art car that you want to drive in the Halloween Gathering, or at Burning Man? A lavishly-staged and costumed performance? Short on funds? You’ve arrived at the right place.
B.U.R.N. UNIVERSITY
Burn university is an educational program that is in the design phase. We hope to launch this initiative in 2024
In previous years, we helped fund Screen Dream Machine, Community Bloom, Space Cats 2.0 and others for B.U.R.N. Burn, Igloo Obscura for Decompression, and more.
