Bold Urban Renaissance Network (B.U.R.N.) invites you to our inaugural Beach Decomp. As we look back at another year of Lakes of Fire and look forward to another year in the desert at Burning Man, we wanted to provide space and time for us to be present together as a community, and we hope you get to be a part of it!

WHEN: Sunday August 20th, 11am - 8pm.

WHERE: Rainbow Beach Park, located in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago. The easiest access to Rainbow Beach’s main parking lot is by S Farragut Drive, off South DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Google maps will try to send you to 77th street, however vehicle access is cut off and parking is always difficult on the side streets close to the beach.

WHAT: A fun day in the sun at one of the best beaches Chicago has to offer. Music will be provided in collaboration with a few cool soundcamp DJs (y’know, Dewey Decibles, San Escobar, Superfriends) that were at Lakes this year. Grills, along with some food and drinks will be provided, but we encourage everyone to bring items to contribute.

SUGGESTED DONATION: $10.

Proceeds will be donated to Bold Urban Renaissance in order to move forward with its mission in fostering community & arts through grass-roots projects, and civic engagement.

B.U.R.N. Seeks to create, display, and support interactive civic participation that inspires action and connects people by moving them from passive spectators to creative participants. We believe this inspires positive creative change in the participants and in the wider community. Donating to B.U.R.N. supports continued arts grant funding and community efforts!
